Design: Phased zoning plan

In accordance with the planning and design schedule, the development priorities are divided into three phases: pre, mid and post

  1. Pre-phase: to maintain the unused space, add a rain-sun walkway to improve human-centred transportation, and start training community guides

  2. Mid-term: Revitalisation of unused school space (Nanrong Elementary School) and transformation of Nanrong New Village space

  3. Late stage: Open small trips to the public with software and hardware facilities

Provincial Road 5 brings traffic volume, and in response to the future light rail opening and walking, so the main considerations in planning with human behavior.

Aging of local population

Facing the problem of aging, childlessness and shortage of labor force, we hope to attract the return of the young and middle-aged population by the industrial and spatial transformation.

Traditional culture preservation

Religious beliefs are diverse, and in the past because of the national defense sites, the surrounding area is rich in historical and military relics, these precious resources should be passed on.

Reuse of free space

Lack of public space, such as green space, should be used for transformation and activation, to provide a better quality of life for the residents in the area.

Methodology

QUESTION

•According to the falling population of children schools are faced to abandon.

•The outflow of young people decreased energy and job opportunities.

SOLUTION

•Reuse the school spaces in Shang Zhi and Nanrong Elementary School.

•Adjust Nanrong village from residential zone to commercial zone.
